Male bronzed cowbirds perform highly energetic courtship displays known as the aerial hover. Whereas, the closely related male brown-headed cowbird only performs a wingspread display. Our lab compares  hormonal  components in these two species to identify mechanisms that underlie such stark differences in courtship displays.
